KEI Observations - Questions people ask in searching May 9
Welcome back to the KEI Observation Deck.
Here are a few quick observation from the members area of Wordtracker.
For those just dropping by the KEI observation deck today, let me capsulize what this is all about. Wordtracker is in my opinion, one of the greatest power tools for keyword research and behavioral research. Ideally, you want to know about keywords and phrases that have a high KEI (Keyword effectiveness Index).
The higher the KEI value (400 and beyond) usually represents a bigger "window of opportunity." While many Webmasters struggle to find those high KEI phrases, (keywords in high use by searchers, but also with low competition) I use my Wordtracker Magic formula to instantly tap into the very best keyword combinations very quickly (often in just minutes.)
Okay, on with today's observations:
"RSS Latest News" KEI 811.0
"wool yarn seconds" KEI 625.0
"discount matted picture frames" KEI 585.0
"picture frames with plexiglass" KEI 666.1
Okay, now let's dig in and examine a few more high KEI valued keyword phrases of at least 400 or higher. But this time let's see what kinds of "questions" people are asking the most. What kind of topics are people searching for?
Last week at the Search engine strategies conference in Toronto, I thought the comments offered by the representative from MSN were particularly interesting. Basically, MSN is going to try and deliver results that are focused on answering people's questions.
It'll be interesting to see how this idea develops.
Did you read about a few of the highlights from the Toronto SES Conference yet? I really enjoyed attending and wrote a little bit about the experience here.
Here are a few interesting searches:
"10 Most Common Phobias" KEI 400.7
"Top Ten Most Dangerous Dogs" KEI 432.0
"Striving to be the most professional organization" KEI 1098.7
"Most Popular Newlywed Game Questions" KEI 1352
Now check out the difference in KEI based on these two phrases....
"most paid athlete" KEI 3808.0
"most paid athlete tiger woods" KEI 66196.1
