Welcome to the KEI Observation Deck:

I'll just recap that here at the KEI Observation Deck, I regularly post keyword phrase combinations that have a Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) of over 400, which usually constitutes a phrase which you can optimize conent for without too much stress. These high KEI values represent phrases that are really in use by the buying audience of online searchers, but at the same time, they are not too competitive. In other words, even if you are just starting out in SEO skills training, you should easily be able to compete and gain good exposure by working with these phrases.

The keyword research tool of choice by most experienced talent, is none other than Wordtracker.com.

According to Wordtracker a good phrase has a KEI of at least 100
An excellent phrase has a KEI of at least 400

On the postings I make here today, you'll find an assortment of topics and the KEI values I extract from Wordtracker are often in the hundreds, in the thousands and even higher. The point being if you understand optimization and know about any of these topics, you can create some great strategies with much less optimization work and you can spend your time building valuable content, which is what the visitor wants anyways.

KEI Observation Deck for August 4, 2005

"refillable propane torch" KEI 225.3

"propane camping freezer" KEI 625.0

"motorhome propane fuel conversion" KEI 729.0

Now's the time to get the snowblower fixed up I guess:
"toro snowblower replacement parts" KEI 1248.2

Looks like an excellent window of opportunity for toy soldiers with the phrase:
"us soldier action figures" KEI 561.6

And for the pool crowd....an interesting observation:

"Pool Safety Fence Designs" KEI 8,844.5

"patented pool safety fence" KEI 8978.0

All 3 of these hunting phrases below have less than 50 competing pages:

"newfoundland deer hunting" KEI 201.2

"texas deer hunting bucks" KEI 270.4

"south dakota deer hunts" KEI 393.2

Have you been wondering how I extracted such a variety of high KEI phrases on so many varied topics?

It might surprise you if I told you that I found these within about 26 minutes of research. That's all. I generally spend 15 to 30 minutes a day just grabing some of the best "windows of opportunity" which seems to surprise people.

I have had many Webmasters and SEOs tell me that they spend hours, days and weeks of time researching for the best phrases but are having tremendous dificulty in finding any high KEI values.

The biggest challenge that I think most people have, is that they need to see Wordtracker as an awesome tool for exploration of behavior. It's not really a hunt for keywords, it's a hunt for high interest niches.

If you've read my short e-book guide called Wordtracker Magic, then begin to practice the technique as I show you, it won't take long before a light comes on in your mind.

How our SEO students respond to Wordtracker Magic in class.

At our live hands-on SEO workshops, we often will literally experience a student somewhere in the class letting out a loud yell once they're onto it. For other students it will happen faster and for others, they need a little practice, but when you start finding gold in Wordtracker, you won't need me to tell you that your doing it right.

Some of my early clients equated the success and outstanding visibility I brought to their Web sites as though it were some kind of magic. I always knew that my early successes was due to using Wordtracker competently as well as having good optimization skills.

But finally I decided to write an e-book to show people how I use Wordtracker and I named it Wordtracker Magic.

Question: "But John, is what you do inside Wordtracker really........some kind of "magic?"

Answer: In a way, I suppose it is.

Dave Barry's analogy of "magic."

For students who are attending our next Advanced Orlando workshop on August 24-26 they'll be meeting our good friend Dave Barry is is one sharp technical SEO Wiz. Dave will be sharing some extraordinary strategies of his own, but I'd like to use his analogy of "magic."

Dave Barry explains that "When you watch a magician, there are certain things the audience sees from their point of view. Their understanding is based on their point of view. At the same time though, there are certain things the magician understands, that the audience does not. From the Magician's point of view it is not "magic" at all, it is just common sense."

I like that example.

For months I worked in Wordtracker in a certain fashion which brought me early results and I just assumed it was common sense and that everybody else was using Wordtracker the same way. It was not until I started teaching others, that I realized that most people did not use Wordtracker the way I was using it.

Would you like the advantage of a different "point of view?"

That's what Robin Nobles and I provide at our hands-on SEO Mastery training classes. Ultimately, we help people understand the search engine marketing process from a completely different point of view. No longer are stable top rankings for the right keyword phrases a mystery to the student. As you upgrade your SEO skills under our direction, it will no longer seem like magic to you, but it may still appear like magic to all of your clients (as well as your competition.)

Many of our students come away with what they have described as almost a "life changing" experience. Their outlook and goals are totally uplifted and changed, and they know that they can now achieve success With our SEO skill building workshop, you understand things in a way that just makes common sense to you, but may appear like magic to others.

Would you like to see a few student comments?

Would you like to know about our upcoming dates and locations?

Would you like to see our agenda?

Choose from a 2-Day, 3-Day or 5-Day SEO Workshop.

That's all for now, but we'll hope to see you at the Orlando SEO workshop this month if you can attend. There is something about working together in person, helping people build their SEO skills right up to speed that is very rewarding. We keep enrollment limited to just 20 attendees only, so we can focus 100% of our attention on you and building your skills. We still have a few spots open but expect they will fill soon.

Class begins in just 17 days from now!

Visit back soon for more high KEI value phrases posted right here on the KEI Observation Deck.
