Keyword phrase obsevations in "trends"
Welcome to the KEI Observation Deck.
Let's dip into Wordtracker for a few random observations around the the topic of "trends" as a root word.
Each of the following exact phrases have less than 10 competing pages based on the Google search engine and at least a dozen searches within Wordtracker data within the last 90 days. Keep in mind that when estimating traffic the number of times search is less than a fraction of 1% of all the searches being done on the Web.
Rather than displaying KEI values I am simply listing observations with less than 10 pages competing.
Here we go...
"Fashion Trends in the 90's"
"future trends in home health care"
"global credit card trends"
"Madonna Fashion Trends"
"new trends in physical therapy"
"cabinet hardware trends"
"globalization and trends in higher education"
"woodworking industry trends"
"Advertising in trends"
"violent crime trends graph"
"research trends post SARS on health care workers"
"hotel trends in technology"
"trends in emerging affluent consumer market"
"us flavor trends"
If you are looking for more keyword observations, drop in to Wordtracker and give their service a whirl.

Here's a quote from a wonderful writer, Ann Landers....
May this coming year, be better than all the others. Vow to do some of the things that you have always wanted to do, but couldn't find the time. Call up an old friend. Forgive an old grudge and replace it with some pleasant memories. Walk tall, and smile more. You'll look ten years younger.
I take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful and very Happy New Year in 2008.

The root word today is "scene." Always remember that when you are digging for data in Wordtracker, you want the widest possible scope of discovery.

"montana scenery photo" KEI 243.0
"country scenes in winter" KEI 400.0

"wildlife scene etched glass" KEI 625.0
"Christmas Night Scenes" KEI 802.0

Okay, if you need more keywords, why not head over to Wordtracker
and try it out for yourself?
Affiliate marketers...one of my very favorite affiliate marketers
and all around helpful people is a lady by the name of Ginette Degner.
I've learned a lot from this lady over the years.
If I had to describe Ginette in just a few words, I would say that she is the voice of logic when it comes to affiliate strategies. She has just launched a brand new blog called the Affiliate Idea Factory.
Keep an eye on Ms. Degner. She is an exceptional talent and it should be interesting to see how this Blog for Affiliate Marketers comes along over the next few weeks and months.
That's it for today. Drop in again soon. Stay safe over the holidays and have please yourself a merry Little Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year for 2008.
Perhaps we'll see you at the upcoming SEO Las Vegas Workshop next month. In the meantime, peace and remember the reason for the season.
Best wishes

Keyword observations related to "Google" and Christmas
If you know me, I am fascinated with exploring user search behavior.
Here on the KEI Observation Deck the slightest idea triggers me to go exploring the data that surrounds it.
Today....I noticed (as we all probably did) that Google has started its first in a series of "Christmas doodles." If you look at the Google search engine you see a series of cartoon doodles that unfold to tell a little story each year. As each day before Christmas approaches, so does the story unravel. Here are some examples of past Google Doodles and information about Dennis Hwang the guy who creates Google doodles.
I think these little holiday logos are one of the most brilliant viral things that Google has ever come up with.
Think back to a time when every major search engine on the planet a screen filled with every type of information packed into it....along comes the new Search Engine that does something completely different than the rest. A search engine that only has a logo and a search box.
But then they have so much creative fun with their logo and use it
so beautifully.
Okay, a few very brief observations today on the term Google as a root word.
"pictures of google corporation" KEI 100
"Google Talk for Blackberry Phones" KEI 112.5
"text message search google mobile" KEI 441.0
"google auto route" KEI 645.3
"How do you place a Google Map on your site" KEI 2116.0
Interesting but not too much of immediate interest. So my next thought is about the season itself. People are always telling me there are no decent high KEI keywords for "Christmas" related searches.
Okay, let's give Wordtracker keyword forensics a whirl....
and here are a few interesting observations in under 60 seconds:
"Christmas Night Scenes" KEI 696.0
"Christmas Snow Scenes" KEI 5,389.0
"free radio station for christmas songs" KEI 6,032.0
"Where Can I Get Free Toys for Christmas" KEI 20,170.0
"Christmas Help for Low Income Families" KEI 27,890.0
"Christmas Theme Desktops" KEI 32,130.0
Of course these are great windows of opportunity if you have something relevant that you can tie into to them with for next Christmas.

Keyword research phrases involving numbers
Welcome to the KEI Observation Deck.
If it is your first time here, I should explain that the KEI Observation Deck is a place where I like to did into Wordtracker's Member database and post interesting keyword phrase observations.
My name is John Alexander and a few years ago, I wrote a very basic e-book called Wordtracker Magic. The idea was to help people look beyond the keyword hunting mindset and help them explore trends in data.
This is what I just recently found within the last 4 minutes of research and the interest was around the root topic of "numbers."
A higher KEI value (400 or higher) generally tells you you have found a good window of opportunity. In fact the higher the KEI value, as a general rule...the less stress there is for you to grab visibility and traffic for that exact researched phrase. I get tired of people telling me that there are NO good keyword windows of opportunity when all I can ever see are huge windows of opportunity. But that's because I explore user behavior rather than guess at logical sounding keywords.
If you'd like some clarification on how to grab good keyword windows of opportunity, the grab my free e-book called Wordtracker Magic. It's a little dated but the principles are extremely powerful and what can I say....it's free!
You get the e-book free when you sign up for our Free SEO Tip of the Day.
Okay...on to grabbing some "number" observations.....shall we?
Here we go with recent searches:
"trace cell phone numbers free" KEI 535.3
"photoluminescent house numbers" KEI 625.0
"number of hiv infection record cases health" KEI 529.0
"HOUSE NUMBERS FOR MAILBOXES" KEI 684.5
"Numbers and Their Meaning" KEI 698.3
"reverse phone look up on cell phone numbers" KEI 882.0
"Chinese Meaning of Numbers" KEI 1540.0
"free canada virtual number" KEI 2304.0
"spyware doctor 4.0 serial number" KEI 4033.0
Oh yes....and ahhh
"Santas Phone Number" KEI 145.9
